Day 13 -8/5

First Day in Yellowstone.  Decided to take the North Loop first.  This place is huge.
Saw some boiling water, water falls, stinky pools of sulfur water and some animals.  No bears or rattle snakes as one member of our party keeps asking about.

So, Josh and I go walking by this steam vent.  thus it is spewing mostly steam but has some water entrained.  Well it spewed on us.  Smelt just like snorkel juice (submarine term for the exhaust and cooling water that rains down from the sail when the diesel is running).  It got on us, on the camera, and Joshua got some on his lips and in his mouth.  As we ran through it to the other side, Josh asks; "Dad, do you think it steams like that all night?"  To which I replied - "No, they turn it off when it gets dark."  "Really?" asks Josh.  Just then two guys on the path bust out laughing.

Tomorrow I think it will be off to the Grand Tetons for a little mountain sightseeing.  We will see who all will be making the trip.  I think Dad plans to rest for tomorrow and Mom may join him.

Don't let them skip the Grand Tetons. That's where you're all most likely to see moose! Tell them to rest the next day.

I second ToadMama. The Grand Tetons really do rock.
